The 2021 Chardonnay is an excellent example of how a winemaker influences the bottling first in the vineyard. Mark carefully managed the Chardonnay canopy, watering when necessary, and controlling the yield to perfect the ripeness and acidity for this long, hot, dry vintage. Notice the aromatic honeysuckle and cardamom spice. It's refreshing with hints of mandarin and ripe apricot, followed by a touch of graham cracker, and it finishes with medium acidity and minerality. The straw color is welcoming and beautiful. A balanced palate and a medium-long finish that will keep you coming back for more.
